PBA Members Participation

This tournament is an open tournament and open to any bowler.  Amature, PBA Exempt members, PBA Non-Exempt members, it really doesn't matter to me.  The only requirement is to each participant must possess a current USBC membership, if not they can participate by paying the $5 partipation fee.

If your a senior regional member and are gonna bowl the usbc masters (senior) and all these other pba events why worry about who can and can't bowl an event..Definition of exempt bowler”a bowler who had a consistent year and finished in the top so many bowlers makes him exempt”...There are guys with multiple titles that are not exempt and guys that are exempt that don't have titles, which one bothers you people the most...please explain.

dont you all have anything better to do?  constant complaining - either bowl or dont.  i can see pat that you are up on that soap box again.  wow - deal with that anger and hostility in another way - seek counsel if necessary, but this isnt the avenue.  maybe you and billy boy (the first most angry bowler in wny) can get together and work it out.  good day.

I was making a point that all these people are afraid to compete against certain people but put their selves on such a high petistole they can't come down...As a tournament director the entries are down and every bowler wether exempt (which limits a few bowlers in this area) or not should be able to participate.Lets just bowl and may the best bowler on that day win..not angry dave just tired. This is a great tournament and everyone should be able to bowl.

Can't let this go.

For anyone worried about bowling a pro, get real. They have the same number of games as we do, plus a limited amount of equipment when they walk into an event like this. Give them a long format and the ability to drill up some new stuff and they get the edge. In a 3-5 game qualifying format though, I don't see it as a big deal. I have bowled many out of town events and in many of them, everyone and anyone can bowl. This includes exempt pros, card carrrying pros and even professional ametuers. If your worried about bowling an exempt player, then maybe scratch events are not for you. Its too bad the pros are going to be out in Cali. as I was hoping for a rematch with Mr. Schafer. Maybe next year at Moffe's tournament. I won't post my name, as this should be clue enough about who I am.

u had him
By moffee111 on Thursday, December 10, 2009 (EST)

coaster p 1st of all u had Mr. Shafer down and it was out  of his hands and in yours, you are correct  they can be beat. You bowled well and just had a bad 10th frame. He(Shafer) bowls these tournaments not to go out and beat everyone but just to bowl and the bowlers enjoyed bowling with him and interacting with him and asked him his advice while he was bowling and after and he didn't care. The exempt bowlers are great bowlers but they can be beat, I'd rather beat an exempt bowler and win then beat a guy with one leg and no fingers. So have fun and just bowl..Good Luck to All Bowlers..

Premier Lane Conditions
By steve crandall on Sunday, January 03, 2010 (EST)

The Maple City Bowl cut and re-surfaced all the lanes this past August.  The lanes are in premier condition and the machines are running excellent.  We have been tracking all the ball calls, pin spots and  other failures for the last 2 months, the mechanics are making sure the machines run their best.

As of today, we have over 50 entries confirmed.  I expect over the next week the entries will double.  If you are interested in bowling in this tournament, please call 607-324-1011 to reserve your spot.  Hope to see you there.
