Shady Wins 29th Eastland Open Posted by Admin on Monday, March 10, 2008 (EST) Mike Shady, Erie, Pa. defeated Bryan Bailey, Grove City, Pa. 238-201 to win the 29th Annual Eastland Open. 2008 EASTLAND OPEN  Mike Shady, Erie, Pa. defeated Bryan Bailey, Grove City, Pa. 238-201 to win the 29th Annual Eastland Open, on Sunday, March 9, 2008. Shady, who averaged 233 for the day, collected $1500.00, while Bailey earned $750.00. Semi-finalists Dave Cantrick of Mentor, Oh., and Frank Cascio of Tonawanda, Ny. collected $500.00 each. Quarterfinalists Lee Eighmy, Ryan Lariccia, Bob Learn, Jr. all of Erie, Pa., and Andrew Blasdell of Jamestown, Ny. each collected $340.00.             First round finalists: Ron Palombi Jr., Chuck Schommer, Bryan Tuten all of Erie, Pa., Larry Case, Jim Mee both of Jamestown, Ny., Brian Chec, Wheatland, Pa., Joe Hostetler, Minerva, Oh., and Jeff Zaffino, Warren, Pa. each collected $195.00.             Other Erie cashers: 18th - Paul Marnella - $90.00, 21st - Beaver Clark – $75.00, 24th – Bob Kane, Jr. - $70.00, and 26th – Dave White - $65.00.             Averages of 205 and 192 were needed to make the final sixteen and the cash line respectively. A total of 115 bowlers participated.
