Tonawanda Varsity defeats Depew

Posted by on Wednesday, January 30, 2008 (EST)

Both THS Boys & Girls teams clinch ECIC III division titles with wins.

Behind the Tonawanda Varsity Boys “B” team Joe Doherty's 299-735 and Brandon Mussell's 259-706, Sean Yeates & Mike Graham helped THS to a huge victory over Depew 4920-4012.  The Tonawanda “A” team got the chance to sit back and relax.  Tonawanda moves to a first place 11-0 and clinches the title for the first time in many years.

On the girls side, Gina Maduri's 225-584, Erin McDonalds 193-514, and Trista Davis' 181 helped in the 3816-3037 win over the Depew ladies.  Amanda Cendrowski had top game for Depew with a 180-452.  The Lady Warriors also move to a first place 11-0 and clinch the ECIC III  division.

Rumor has it that there will be a couple new banners hanging in the gym soon!

One more match to go against Cheektowaga on Monday at Thruway lanes and Tonawanda will also be competing on Saturday in the annual “Baker” tournament.

There will be a banner for division, but a second place ribbon for sectionals.

Ha thats what you think. Your just mad at the fact that Tonawanda is way better. Go ahead...keep saying that were not going to win, because chances are that we will. And if we don't, were not going to be sore losers because unlike Maryvale we had the confidence all season to be great. Yea, winning the sectionals might be fantasic and all but its the effort we put forth that makes us better. So stop trying to think your better. K? Thanks

Come On - actions speak louder than words.  Don't say it - DO IT - then you can talk about it with numbers.
