The Hy-Road use's the same core found in the T-Road Solid, and Pearl versions still with the R2S Cover. The Blend of half solid/half pearl glides through the front and picks up consistant mid lane read shot after shot. I used a 35 degree 1st angle by 45 degree 2nd angle with a 5.75 pin to PAP. The first test was the Chameleon PBA pattern in which I found a nice look in around 15 to 11 on the fresh smooth transitoin off the end of the pattern with power. After the heads started to go away. I was in need of stronger ball to play more up the lane in heavier sauce time to put this one away. The Hy-Road would have been the choice if the surface was touched to the stronger side. Sucess on sport patterns is also another bright spot for the Hy-Road to shine, with consistant read off the breakpoint, small adjustments can be made to control the pocket keeping you score's well rounded. Overall this piece should be a first out of the bag to give you a clear vision of the pattern. Only on extreme wet/dry patterns will you need to put this one back in the bag. Weaker layouts will help on the drier patterns and stronger layouts on the heavier one's but there are better choices in Storms line for those conditions.
My many Thanks to Storm for the test ball. Mike Rose for the layout and drilling done at Bowler's World in Rochester, NY
