Summer Fires start Rapid in the heat. Storms new Pearl Rapid Fire covers ground quickly and ignites strikes in streaks. I have found a new sphere to turn the corner with an attitude. The RS2 Pearl cover along with the same Twin V core found in the solid Rapid Fire gives easy length through the fronts retaining most of it's energy for the very angleular motion towards the pocket. My layout was a 50° 1st angle pin to PAP and a 50° 2nd angle for a total of 100°. I also used a balance hole 1.5 inches down form my PAP to bring back to .25 ounces of side weight. This by fare is Storms most aggressive ball off the spot down lane a juiced up FIRED UP to stay. Testing for the first time a 37” sport pattern, being a tweener I had no problems getting the ball to turn the corner from deep inside. The box 1500 grit polish finish still reads the midlane and gets rolling toward the pocket, thier is no stopping this fire. Longer patterns with heavy volume will cause you to put this one away, but a needed peice for the arsenal of any tournament bowler looking for a ball they can get in with, knowing recovery will come down lane when needed.
Thanks to Steve Kloempken of Storm for the test ball, Mike Rose of Acemitchell for the drilling and layout performed at Bowler's World in Rochester, NY.
