In todays edition, we will cover Storms newest addition to the Fire Line. The Rapid Fire fits in the middle of the Spit Fire for the light volume patterns, and the Sure Fire for the long and heavy volume patterns. The Rapid Fire use's the same symmertic core but in verted, providing a quicker midlane read and a consistant backend motion to the pocket. The RS2 cover base resin has been one of Stroms strongest cover's in combating higher viscosity oils. I used a 1' pin to PAP and 3' CG to PAP box finish to get a smooth read off a 40' flat pattern this worked well on the fresh, but was a little weak when the oil transitions down lane, I knew this would happen with a layout like this. Again on a house pattern we could fire from all angles. the consistant midlane read was amazing, weak handed players need not to apply more skuff to the cover the enginie inside will do the work. High rev players will love the return when having to give the pocket away deep inside, needing not to worrie about weak hitting leaving flat 10's. This by far is the best in class for solid reactive Balls, my opinion. This cover core will let you know if any other peice is needed to execute.
My many thanks to Steve Kloempken of Storm for our test ball. Mike Rose for the glove like fit and layout performed at Bowler's World in Rochester, NY.
