Storm's Gravity Shifts Attitudes

Posted by on Monday, February 25, 2008 (EST)

May the Gravity be with you!

Hello all , Storm's third release in the Shift line will have you gravitating to higher scores. This all new Rx2 cover and tweaked Lock Shaped core have the competition looking for a key to lock it backup. I started with a 2.5oz block, 2.5' pin and box finish. Using a 5 x 4.750 layout with no extra hole. I was off to The Brockmyre Classic at Doug Kents Rose Bowl Lanes. Lining up on the US Open pattern layed down on Wood, yes thats right wood surface still lives. I found a nice line to the pocket around the 7-8 ish area. The gravity just glided through the fronts, rolling through the mids and coming off the pattern with a strong arc to the pocket. I was able to use throughout the squad by adjusting my look down lane to increase my loft thus keeping hold of the 1-2 pocket. I also took some pitches on a typical house pattern with out much trouble knocking the pocket silly. Slower ball speeds and rev challenge player's can use this box finish on light volume and short pattern without early hook. High rev players will love this ball to play deep with no quit when the grsvity is with you.Surface changes are quick and easy to fine tune the cover to suit most conditions.Storms Gravity Shift is an excellent addition to the Shift line up, one that should make your line up too.

My many thanks to Steve Kloempken of Storm for the review ball. Mike Rose for the layout and drilling done at Bowler's World in Rochester,NY
