Sure Fire strikes Fire again & again!

Posted by on Friday, August 31, 2007 (EST)

Storm's Sure Fire quickly fire's up the lanes.

The Sure Fire from Storm has the season sizzling already. This new inverted twin V core, wrapped with the new R2S Hybird cover makes ashes in the pocket. I  used a 5x4 layout with the pin above my fingers. The 3.5 inch pin to cg let me keep the balance hole on the val. The starting top weight was 2oz, so I was left with a small amount of bottom weight. My first test was the PBA scorpion pattern. I found a nice look in around the 15-18 area with medium speed. I surely hit the pocket with excellent carry. As the fronts went away I just picked up the speed slightly and found the pocket consistantly again. A broken down house pattern was not much of a challenge for this burning fire misses to the left were forced to a high pocket hit leaving some fast 6-10's but with a light skuf with a green pad the fire burned a little earlier with flush hits returning into strikes. I am looking forward to using this during the first 8 weeks in our sport league. the pattern will be a 38' medium volume. My many thanks go out to Steve Kloempken of Storm Products for the test ball.Mike Rose for the first class drilling & layout performed at Bowlers World.
