The new Shift from storm products, gives you the shift to the pocket with the key to the hole. The shift with the new R2s cover with a light particle load will glide throught the front part of the lane. The strong mass bias .22 and Key lock core will allow enhanced midlane read, and a quicker read off the dry than the Domination. I drilled my test ball with a 5” pin to PAP and the CG 4” tp PAP, no extra hole was need ball specs were 1.5 top and 1” pin to cg. The first test was our 43' sport pattern medium volume. I found sweet spot between 15 and 12 with medium speed.I increased my side roll, wanting to feed the ball to the left slightly off my hand. The shift cleared the heads and transitioned into a smooth roll at midlane with a continous motion to the pocket. The look reminded me of a similar ball named Pyro, but with a shade more polish out of the box. The typical house pattern was no match for the shifting storm, being pleasantly surprised at the smoothness of missed delivered shots still encountering the pocket for strikes is always a plus. I would recomend use on medium to lighter volumes, with very heavy or larger volumes upfront for the Special Agent or Passion. A must if going to carry a particle in the arsenal to tournament play.
My many thanks to Steve Kloempken of Strom for the ball to review. Mike Rose for the drilling along with the layout of the ball done at Bowlers World.
